Due and overdue

Well my official due date (August 11th) has come and has passed us by with still...no baby. I wake up in the night or early morning and wonder when those real contractions will come!!! I know what you veterans are thinking...'she has no idea what she is in for!!!' But that's alright because i know what we get out of it and that is what matters now. I've heard all the well meaning advice at this point about the baby coming when he is ready and how first babies are always late. BLAAH! BLaaaHHH!! BLAAAhh!! :)

Its different being the one nine months pregnant+ when it is 90 degrees out and are just dying to meet and hold the little one that you have been growing inside for what feels like your whole lifetime!! And then there are all the questions: what does he look like? Was the ultra sound was right that its a boy? What will his personality be? Is he going to play and kick as much as he does inside? If so...watch out Bechkam!

At church on Wedneday, someone said something that really stuck. This man has three girls, elementary age and he said that just last year he realized this. He said that God has a promise for each child...a purpose or a destiny. As parents, we are to seek God for what the promise is for each child and encourage and build him or her up in that. How amazing to look at life in that way...to be a part of the promise GOd has for that child.

Well that's all for now. I hope the next entry includes pictures the littlest Kristiansen.
