A lighter shade of clear!

This minute things are different than most moments in my life. I feel a sense of clarity that does not come very often. Normally I walk around with dirty glasses, I see alot of little and everything that I want to see has to be right there infront of me. The horizon is not a worry of yours when your glasses are dirty (everything that is coming at you, is a worry) or when a 1000 birds have soiled your windshield. 2 weeks ago I decided to change the wiper blades on my car. Good old Mr. Burns. Several days a week I have been driving with my nose at the grimy windshield approaching 80MPH in my faithful beater. What madness, especially when you can buy clarity in the form of $4 buck wipers at Wally world. So, Mr. Burns and I went together and got the wipers and fixed that problem. This story is not so much about my car, my driving skills or lack thereof or even flocks of pooping birds.
Even with a clean windshield, I still have to make sure my glasses do not contain fingerprints of a 6 months old, or else my clean windshield does me no good at all.
When I talk about clarity it is not a physical phenomenon that I can windex or rain-ex my way to; I am talking about this thing called life! I have been driving really hard with my nose in the grimy windshield at times ignoring the danger of a blurred vision. When you can only see what is at the tip of your nose, you become limited and your world is small. The apostle Paul said: ”Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” There are so many days where I don’t know anything, no clue about what to do, my vision is limited. But then there are days like today where for a few moments I get to see a lighter shade of clear. Maybe, today will not be just another day of getting in the car dis-regarding the obvious, that a fresh perspective is needed. This blog is not only a place for us to leave our weirdness for the world to see, but hopefully a place where you will see chapter by chapter what God does with a trio of weirdos.
