We have a small problem in the Kristiansen household and it is a one letter word. The word is "organisation". The problem is not that we have too much organisation, because that would put us in the German category where everything has its place. We would have everything lined up in perfect rows and professional morgue tags on every thing you could possibly imagine. I am Danish, not German just plain anal. Well, I am anal in my mind and off course in speech. But when it comes down to the execution of true organisation, I am still ever bit as messy as my wife, who by the way is to some degree German, the rest of her is a little bit uncertain.
So, here we are, a very happy but messy couple getting ready to celebrate Christmas way too early like the rest of America. Where is the box of Christmas stuff? The 2% of my organisational skills that functioned last year told me to put the box in the closet. To our great surprise we found the box and we now proudly display 1) miniature Christmas tree 2) lights for said miniature Christmas tree 3) One paper star, still neatly folded, minus the light that makes it a "Star". 4) One Concrete snowman that threatened to kill my mother in-laws vehicle (200 other people received a concrete snowman) last but not least a beautiful nativity scene. Oh, let me make one correction it is a crime scene nativity. We don't have anybody abiding there......nobody has showed up yet. No, it is not a Danish tradition to let the little baby Jesus show up the night before Christmas. This stable does not even have a donkey! No, donkey and no sheep. This nativity is strangely empty.........any clues!

I've never read a blog before, very cute. :) I did start reading it thinking it was quite funny that you mispelled "organization", but then realized it's probably a Danish thing. :) Good luck finding baby Jesus.
