I have no idea how well I will do with posting on this little blog of ours...but i suppose as long as i have no expectations i should do quite well!
We left Eaton, Indiana and the 90 degree weather behind on Monday. we stayed in a great hotel in chicago and took the boys swimming, had dinner with some friends that used to be on staff with campus crusade and their 4 kids. i babysat for the older three when the baby was born. that baby is in fourth grade now. wish they were closer becaause karissa and marcella would be fabulous babysitters!
getting through o'hare was better than expected. praise the lord that we got an extra seat on the airplane. we didn't buy a seat for silas since he can fly "on our laps" until he is age 2. that extra seat was a life saver. we had his carseat,too. luca watched movies...a lot of movies. if you know this child, you will know that he is in heaven in front of the tv. no idea how he is like this since we don't let him watch much, but that is beside the point. he slept about 1 hour that whole night. silas maybe slept 3 1/2 in addition to his 30 minute nap!
yesterday we slept and took a walk, ate dinner then slept really hard last night! the boys slept from 8 pm until 9:30 am when we finally woke them up. hopefully tonight will be another good night of sleep.
We went to Tollymore Forest Park today which is said to be the inspiration to C.S. Lewis's Narnia. I wish that I had remembered the camera cord to post photos...but maybe i can work something out. It was amazing & so whimsical and pretty.
