Well we are back in the swing of things as far as life goes in Yorktown, Indiana. Jet lag is no longer an excuse for tiredness. I have to just resort to the old adage of having an infant!
Lars has started a new job on Mondays and Tuesdays. Well he has actually had this job before, but it sounds strange to say that Lars started an old job on Monday. He is right in his element selling Danish furniture at Danish Inspirations He loves the product, is honest, hard working and oh so cute! I am sure he'll do just fine. I know I would buy from him!!
Luca is getting so strong. He is using his stomach muscles to try and sit. Once I get him in the sitting position he usually spits up, topples to one side, or goes all the way forward. He must have fun though because he keeps acting like he wants to sit. He was measured and weighed at his well baby check up today. He weighs 17lbs and 4 oz (90th percentile) and is 27 3/4 inches long (off the charts!!!!). Life is just so different now. I actually am interested in what professionals are saying in regards to starting rice cereal for Luca. Some say 4 months, others not until after 6 if the baby is breastfeeding. Wow---I don't really care at all and yet I do! Weird.
I have been thinking of school again. I can't actually believe that I have typed those words and maybe I'll just delete them again before anyone sees them. Hmmmm...well I have gotten this far with my thinking...maybe just a little more. I have been thinking about social work...and also nursing...but mostly social work. A friend is starting IUPUI and evidentally they have a great non-traditional student program. (lots of evenings and even an all day Saturday option) Who knows?? Nothing this semester though. (I still can't believe that I am thinking about this)
