Casa de grace

Don't get me wrong, I love to visit my husband's family. I love to eat my mother in laws multi-grain rolls with butter AND jam AND wonderful cheese. I love to be able to send Luca upstairs when we get up to hang out with Farfar and Farmor while we leisurely get showered and ready for the day. I love to watch Lars "at home." But all this is visiting family.

I asked Lars is we could PLEASE have some vacation this year. We decided to spend 1 week of our 2 1/2 weeks in Denmark in a summer house on the beach. This Indiana girl just eats up any chance to be at the ocean. Lars' town is right on the west coast of Denmark and through a friend's uncle (and one amazing deal) we were able to stay in a luxurious beach house-OUR CASA DE GRACE!!!!

It was amazing to be there. We were all just so relaxed. Lars actually read a book!!!!!! I can't really remember the last time I have seen him so relaxed. The air felt easier to breathe and the kids loved it there. The house was about 15 minutes from town so it was convenient to go see family or have them to our place, too.

Lars had his birthday while we were there, too. He turned 32!! How did he get such a young wife?



This is a cake man. You get to 'kill' the cake man and take whichever part you would like...here---have an arm and a foot!

Mama and Silas, too...trying to stay in the shade of the stroller. Silas isn't really supposed to be in the sun until 6 months when we can use sunscreen. well...a little Vitamin D sunshine couldn't hurt too much!
