some days are the monotonous ones. i feel that all i do is make food, clean up after meals, remind big brother to use the toilet...and wash his hands, change Silas....make more food, etc.
then other days i am just amazed at how fast life is going. its usually in one of those rare moments where silas just falls asleep in my arms or luca shows me a sticker creation that he is so proud of.
the future is so exciting...joining the guinn's in n. ireland. watching the boys' personalities develop. hopefully getting to sleep in some day before we are too old.
God is teaching me and has been teaching me to enjoy and be in the moment. like this example from yesterday. luca got this stitching/ lacing thing for his birthday and we have been working on it when silas is napping. the first day, we did it together...i held it and pretty such told him each stitch where to put it and how to do it. he thought it was fun and then was ready to do a dinosaur puzzle:
now the next day, i had a lot to do during silas' nap time so i just got him started. you can see where it stopped being a together project and he took over. he sat forever on the couch just having the time of his life.
he was jumping up and down as he brought his creation for me to check out. i think its beautiful! all the bunches and chaotic little stitches...its perfect.
its like God with us. he knows that we make things chaotic and not as good as it could be, but he delights in us as his kids.... he doesn't want to take over and give it to someone who can do it perfect, but instead walks along with us as we learn.
i love my kids and i love the lessons that God uses to teach me(& often humble me.)
