My baby turned one!

Silas turned one last Wednesday. We had a little party for him on Thursday where he devoured chocolate cake, covered the kitchen with chocolate and then merited a bath with lots of bubbles.

Here are some tidbits about our little man.

Some Words: Hi, Bye, Mama, Dadda, Bubble, Ball, Bath, Here, something that sounds like-"Oh, what's that?", Dog, WOW, Uh oh!

Favorite Foods: The kid loves BEANS! Bananas, chicken, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, yogurt and all fruit.

Moving and Shaking: Silas will often bounce and clap when he hears music. He crawls at lightning speed and can take a few steps independently. He climbs onto Luca's bed and tries to jump off head first. He likes to walk and push anything that will move.

Personality: He is a cuddler. He won't stay for long, but he scurries over to us often to be hugged,then he is back on the move again. His choice is to be held while he goes to sleep. He loves his pacifier when he is tired or sad. My Dad used to say that he reminded him of Maggie from the Simpsons!

Humor: He already has a great sense of humor. It seems that he likes slapstick sorts. He laughs at the Whoopie Cushion and even tries to sit on it himself. He thinks physical play is hilarious and will fall on the floor laughing when you play pass with him.

Temper: Watch out if you take his toy, he WILL protest!

He had such a hard couple of first months that we still are amazed at his joyful spirit and are so thankful for the smiles and laughs.
