Is vacation a state of mind? part 2

Well after experiencing a stay at home and "BE" on vacation and then actually taking a real one, I have come to a verdict.
Nothing beats the real thing!
Whereas the weather in Muncie was not too terrible for early spring, THIS
is much preferred.

I loved having some great time with my sweet boys and Hannah. Their stories were amazing, expressions were hilarious, and enthusiasm was contagious. However, beach conversations with my sister is like no other.

Of course, sometimes you are thrown for a loop, like I was on the Sunday morning when I woke up with strep throat! YUCK. We spent all morning getting to a walk in clinic, finding a pharmacy and getting back to the hotel. I felt so bad I stayed in the hotel and took a good nap. My sister was so kind and gracious about me being sick. Later I met Kate down at the beach and took two (and maybe three) more naps!

Looks like I have a couple chins and even as I am writing this, I can't believe I am posting this picture of myself!
Here we are after all the naps and the antibiotics kicked in. This was a great little Mexican restaurant where we shared some nachos and I was super careful to not double dip.

Strep throat aside, this girl is the best sister/ girlfriend that a girl could ask for:

(if you look closely, you can see Cindy Lauper's mother in the background)

Reading Fix It Duck and Go Dog Go are quite exhilarating reads. I tried something a bit different this time and read a whole magazine on the airplane AND read an intriguing book called The Help. The book was so good that it helped my travel from Ft. Lauderdale TO DENVER, THEN INDY seem to not really be the whole 9 hours of air time that it really was! That kind of flying usually lands me on a different continent, but who is counting?

In summation, I will take the mental and emotional state of mind vacation when the time arises. But when the time actually comes to dig your toes in the sand and read books and take looooooong walks, I am jumping to that chance, too.
