weekend news

We walked to church this morning! Thankfully one of my sisters in law gave the boys some coverall snowsuits. They can't run in them at all, but at least they are warm (and can't escape from us well).

Its a small church that we are going to. The morning started with kids and adults singing some Sunday school songs together and then a family friendly Bible teaching. Luca loved it and was with the kids right away. Silas stayed with mom like usual, but eventually warmed up. I was impressed at how well the young kids seemed to know the bible stories and also the verses they knew by heart. There was a break, communion time and then adult teaching. I stayed out with the kids during the teaching this week and I think that Lars and I will switch who stays in. The church seems to care for one another and know each other well...like family.

We got our car yesterday! We bought one from Lars' older brother and now I just need to learn how to drive it.

Lars has a job interview on Tuesday and that's also the day his mom is admitted to the hospital for her surgery. Wed they will operate to remove the tumor on her brain. More news to come on her progress.

Still no housing for us. There seem to be a good amount of 1 bedroom places, but that's too small. In fact, for my immigration requirements, we have to have place that fits their standards!
