Snow Days

We were snowed in the house for a few days due to a foot or so of snow...I managed to wash just about every piece of laundry we have (yeah...i was that bored). Luca has so many clean clothes now that I couldn't fit them all in his two little drawers...I am not sure that has ever happened before. They are now in a suitcase under his crib getting ready for our Denmark trip. February 28-March 16 we'll be in Esbjerg, Denmark visiting Lars' family, meeting two new babies Jeppe and Kristoffer (both born in the fall) and celebrating his grandma's 85th birthday. Parties are a huge deal in Denmark and living 85 years is enough to merit a big bash so I am glad we can be there to celebrate.

I will also be scooting out of the country and down to Spain for 4 days to see a friend in Barcelona and experience just a taste of Spanish life. Lars and I have been apart for no more than one night since we got married and Lars and I were apart from Luca for 24 hours...once! This wil definately be strange...I planned to take Luca with me, but as we talked about it more and more we started to think otherwise. I also was trying to imagine naptime while touring Parc Güell or walking down Las Ramblas and smelling a poopy diaper..or enjoying a cup of coffee or something at a tapas bar while Luca is trying to knock over my drink and throw my calamari on the ground...then get down and want to eat it.... needless to say, I'll be traveling sola on this one!

Because we have been snowed in, Lars and I were able to organize some things around the house and my gigantic packing list is started.... ahhh fun
