What thrill for me to go to school. I feel like such a nerd saying this even, but I don't care. A few years ago I don't think that I ever could have admitted how excited i was, but things have changed. I have passed the threshold of being 30 (and not even at my last b-day), I have two kids, a great husband and hips that are much wider than I would like them to be! Somehow though, I am comfortable in my skin.
My class consisted of an Irishman, 2 from Russia, Ukraine, Thailand, philipines and a lady from Romania. I haven't been to Romania in six years, but it still feels like a part of me is there! I was able to speak with her in her native tongue and it was so fun for me! I met a couple of her friends during the break and I felt like the little parrot who could speak. One of her friends laughed and repeated every single thing said, not in a mocking way, but the way that I repeat when Silas uses big words that surprise me. Guess I should try to dig out some of the proverbs and sayings from memory to really get this girl reeling, huh?
My teacher is super and I am so thankful that my in laws can watch the kids for the month of January so I may go more intensively this month.
What kind of adventure will today hold???
